DrJay Warren "Hey Dads, Happy New Year! Let's start off the new year together talking about what aspect of dadhood you want to focus on improving in yourself in the next few months.... This past year shined a light on a lot of things, including our parenting weak spots. All of us. But while you might know what you want to work on, you might not know how to go about it effectively and efficiently. Someone on the call Monday night might be excelling in this area and can share some tips that might be useful. Together as dads we can help each other be better for our kids. The Zoom call is tomorrow night, Monday, Jan 4th at 6:30pm. PM me for the Zoom invite link (not public, Dads only) or join The Dadhood Journey Facebook Group to get the invite: https://www.facebook.com/groups/575396366165609/?ref=bookmarks See more

FearlessBirthing-Kim Wildner "An editorial in the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology is suggesting providers stop calling inductions at 39 weeks "elective" and instead call them "risk reducing". We recommend reading the full response from the ICAN facebook post copied below because it is important to understand the flaws in this opinion. If your provider starts calling your scheduled cesarean at 39 weeks "risk reducing" then that may be new sign to find a new provider..."

Monet Nicole - Birthing Stories "When I think about the Christmas Story, I'm always moved by the thought of the blood, sweat, tears, and shouts of joy that surely filled whatever stable or manger they found themselves in. I imagine Mary's fear being eclipsed by a big, unspeakable love. I picture the two of them, skin to skin. Breastfeeding. Bonding. Breathing in near unison. ... And I find comfort that perhaps the very heart of Christianity can be found in the strength of a mother - her tenderness, her courage, and her joy. In a year where we've been asked to sacrifice so much...a year we've lost so much...I pray that we can find hope in the simple, yet sacred story of a woman birthing her baby. Merry Christmas." "The main differences observed between untreated Cesarean babies and those delivered vaginally or fed feces were that the control infants had a lower abundance of commensal Bacteroides and Bifidobacteria species, but a higher abundance of more pathogenic taxa, in line with previous findings."

All the eggs a woman will ever carry form in her ovaries while she is a four-month-old fetus in the womb of her mother. This means our cellular life as an egg ...begins in the womb of our grandmother. Each of us spent five months in our grandmother’s womb, and she in turn formed in the womb of her grandmother. We vibrate to the rhythm of our mother’s blood before she herself is born, and this pulse is the thread of blood that runs all the way back through the grandmothers to the first mother. ~ Layne Redmond, When the Drummers were Women Artwork ~ "Triple Goddess" ~ Amy Haderer ~ www.mandalajourney.com

Getting an ultrasound has become a part of being pregnant for most women. Information about the dangers of shooting sound waves at a developing fetus (baby) and the ovaries of the pregnant person is not considered to be necessary. Research before you lie down.
