Join us this Saturday for a drive-thur interfaith food drive from 9am-12pm at 6767 51st Street, San Diego, CA

To assist families during this crisis, the interfaith food drive has been extended through April 30th! Food gathering bins for non-perishable items can be found outside the Bahá'í Center gates, and for any questions or personal pick-up, please contact Lisa Patton at 619-373-3667. Of San Diego County’s 3.2 million residents, 450,000 people face food insecurity every day. Of this number, 177,000 are children. Food insecurity means that little or no food is available at home, and those who are food insecure do not know how they will get their next meal. Currently, 1 in 7 adults, and 1 in 5 children face food insecurity in San Diego County.

Here in San Diego for a weekend-long gathering with residents from all over California interested in community building activities in neighborhoods. Many of the... participants serve as coordinators in their home communities assisting others in this process. One aspect of particular importance is how to accompany young people to engage in service to others while also lending impetus to the movement of a population towards the oneness of humanity.
