All across our country, hate crimes against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders are in the rise. Every day there are videos and stories of attacks against the... AAPI community. Enough is enough! Last Saturday, May 15th, #APAPA along with over 80 organizations, of 18+ locations across the nation (not counting locations in Canada and Australia), and thousands of people, gathered, at the same time, for a Unity Against Hate Rally to send a message: - [x] Hate of any type will not be tolerated - [x] Hate against one American is Hate against All Americans So proud to see people of all faiths, ethnicities, genders, generations, and party affiliations, standing in solidarity, denouncing racism and xenophobia! We also distributed #YellowWhistle - a simple gadget with a universal purpose - to signal alarm and call out for help if attacked, especially our elders. I’m sharing some of the pictures from our CA State Capitol location here, so you can see how inspiring it was to be part of this movement. #Sacramento represented well . The last 15 pictures belong to other cities. We are still collecting pictures, so the full album will be shared at a later time. It took a village!
