SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Carlos Sanchez Carlos served as class vice president during his junior year and currently serves as the Student Association’s Sports Coordinator. He will fondly remember SDA’s mission trips, the time he spent at Leadership Camp and Bible Camp, his class’s trip to Yosemite, and winning the football championship. Carlos enjoys listening to music, recording and editing videos, breaking things, fixing things, watching the Lakers (especially when they win), and h...anging out with the guys. SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Christopher Weigle Chris served as class pastor during his junior year and currently serves as Religious Vice-President of the Student Association. He will remember many things about his time at SDA, including winning the football championship, class vespers, music during chapel, chorale, Evolution Sundae, and volleyball season. Chris’s many joys include singing, playing his guitar, team sports, skating, and spending time with his siblings. Someday he hopes ...to travel to Switzerland, learn to play the cello, surf in Indonesia, and master four languages. Chris, may God bless you in all your adventures to come!

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Penelope Tan Penelope, vice-president of her class during her freshman year, loves traveling, hiking, working out, and doing new things. She also enjoys meaningful conversations, learning about her faith, and making memories with her friends. Penelope’s ambitions include helping the people around her get closer to God, taking a road trip across the U.S., and raising a family in the country.... SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Jason Sevick Jason served as class president during his junior year and currently serves as the president of SDA’s chapter of the National Honor Society. His favorite memories of SDA will include the football tournaments, his class camping trip & vespers, and the rubber band fights in Physics class. Jason loves outdoor activities including riding his dirt bike, jet skiing, fishing, football, baseball, and hiking. He also enjoys spending quality time with his... family and friends. He secretly hopes to race Supercross, save someone’s life someday, and ride a dolphin. Jason, may God bless you in all your adventures to come!

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Sarai Ponkratjeva Sarai hopes someday to fly and to invent or discover something amazing. She loves to paint, hike, play basketball, and spend quality time with her friends and family. Sarai will fondly remember her time at SDA playing basketball and attending Bible Camp and Senior Campout.... Sarai, may God bless you in all your adventures to come!

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Jarred Pineda Jarred, who was class president during his sophomore year, has many interests, including writing, anime, fashion, film, and spending time with the guys. Some of the things he will remember from his time at SDA include the four ditch days his class won, winning the football tournament, and listening to music with friends. Jarred’s secret ambitions include living in Korea and Japan and owning a pet giraffe.... Jarred, may God bless you in all your adventures to come!

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Liebens Pierre Louis Liebens, perhaps the most upbeat young man on our campus, is always quick with a cheerful greeting. He enjoys reading, learning Japanese, and playing his guitar, saxophone, and the piano. He also enjoys basketball, a good game of chess, and spending time with his friends. Liebens’ secret ambitions include learning ten languages, living in Japan, traveling the world, and becoming a linguistic expert.... Liebens, may God bless you in all your adventures to come!

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Yen-Lin Kuo (Ian) Ian, as he is known by all of us here at SDA, is a leader on campus, having held many elected positions. Currently, he is S.A. Vice President and Vice President of our chapter of the National Honor Society. Ian loves to joke, eat, sing, and visit museums and other new places.
