The Sand Dollar Collection is temporarily changing it's hours for July and August. We will be open Tuesday through Thursday from 10:30-1:30

There is a wife variety available in shop, come check it out!... Grace&Ky is a local woodworking shop making these such as these beer flights, bottle openers, and photo frames. Not only does the Sand Dollar Collection contribute to our NOSC charities and scholarships every year, we also donate to Naval Medical Center Balboa. This year we were able to grant $4291 to the NICU and $4000 to the patient pantry. We are ecstatic to be able to help where we can. We couldn't do it without our wonderful patrons and our dedicated team of volunteers. To those we have lost in the line of duty; Thank you for your courage, your bravery, and your sacrifice for our freedom. You will not be forgotten. Today especially, we remember and honor you. To those they left behind; you carry the weight of their sacrifice on your shoulders. Today (and everyday) we recognize your strength and offer our shoulders to lean on when you need a break from your bravery. May we all find peace this memorial day as we reflect on those who gave everything for our country.

Everyday there is a "why". There are thousands of "why's". But today, for many, this is their "why". Why they chose to enlist, why they choose to defend, why the wake up every morning, put on their boots, and continue their commitment to our military and country. This tragedy happened 19 years ago and yet it feels like yesterday. At SDC today, and every day, we are proud to support those who defend and protect our freedoms. We strive to make a better future for our militaries children, and are eternally grateful to all of those who answered the call to step up and prevent another tragic event here at home. Thank you to our service members, their family's, our first responders, and everyone who believes in our freedoms. May we never forget the souls who were lost and the events that unfolded on 9/11/01.

Hello everyone! My name is MacKenzie and I am the San Dollar Collection's newest volunteer publicist. My husband and I have been in San Diego for about 5 years now. I am an active member of NOSC (if you haven't joined go sign up now. Do it! Trust me!) and help coordinate all of the JO spouse events.
