No power? No problem. This microgrid powers this California company’s business no matter increasingly common utility power outages - all for less than the cost ...of a utility-powered system thanks to our new grid optional Blue Ion LXHV commercial energy storage solution. Over a 20 year period - not even including the $75k interconnection study or the carrying costs for every month we waited for grid connection - utility power would end up costing about the same as a solar+storage microgrid. The obvious decision was to build an islanded microgrid so we’d have energy independence. - Scott Laskey, Owner & President, Sandbar Solar & Electric To learn more about this project: https://bit.ly/2UILkZJ. #gridoptional #lxhv #blueion #renewables #microgrid #renewableenergy #solar #solarpower #solarenergy #energystorage #batteries #battery #cleanenergy #cleantech #environment #climate #climatechange #climateaction #poweroutage #california #microgrid

Sandbar Solar & Electric is taking action in response to the global COVID-19 pandemic and to the shelter in place directive issued by the Santa Cruz County Public Health Division. Sandbar will temporarily suspend all business activities not deemed essential to maintaining the safety, sanitation, and essential operation of residences and essential businesses. This means that there is a high likelihood that the main telephone line at Sandbar will go unanswered until the shelter... in place order comes to an end. Feel free reach out to Sandbar employees directly via email or at [email protected] for general inquiries. We appreciate in advance the patience of those of our customers who are awaiting design, engineering, installation, and/or consulting services as you may experience delays in our normal turnaround and response times. Thank you for your support and understanding.
