www.faithlight.org has some recent updating and image-replacements. The banners on the front page are part of our community outreach; several neighbors have told us they appreciate the modern, attractive design which does not detract from the neighborhood. Questions abound about the vast difference in size of our former facility (>450 seats, reduced about 20 years ago to 225) and the new facility (capacity 100-125, depending pew chair arrangement; currently set up for 80). We have already researched and received provisional approval for 700 sq. foot addition at the back (for safe-room/classroom, and four-bed evangelism dormitory w/restroom/shower); an additional 525 sq. ft. is available at the front (rotate the assembly hall 90 deg. and expand capacity to approximately 175).

One of our new fence banners, using the theme "Promise." (Emphasis on the period ("."). It is one of six planned for rotation, including one each on Word, Sing, Pray, Lord's Supper, Baptism, Repentance.

Three of our evangelism coworkers, today. Torie (l), Little Ray--"Ray-Ray" (c), and Lee (r)...Carlos deployed to his Bible Class. We distributed very nearly 400 of the "Our New Home" cards. Within 30 minutes, Carlis and I receiver a very encouraging call from "Gail, on 49th Street," who thanked us for the card we left with her, welcomed us to the area, said she would pray for us, and promised to be with us sometime in the near future. And, BTW, No! I did not bribe Torie and Ray-Ray with Coldstone Creamery (I just figured they might like it ).

You are welcome to join us in worship, today! Having looked, last week, at two important exhortations from the New Testament, we turn today to the third of "Three Exhortations." Here's a review from last Sunday:... 1. An exhortation to unity 1 Corinthians 1:10 (NASB)[10] Now I exhort you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment. 2. An exhortation to elders 1 Peter 5:1-4 (NASB)[1] Therefore, I exhort the elders among you, as your fellow elder and witness of the sufferings of Christ, and a partaker also of the glory that is to be revealed, [2] shepherd the flock of God among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion, but voluntarily, according to the will of God; and not for sordid gain, but with eagerness; [3] nor yet as lording it over those allotted to your charge, but proving to be examples to the flock. [4] And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory. Today, 3. What will it be? What will it be? Come and discover some encouraging truth, today!
