San Rafael Fire Foundation will host Americorps volunteers for a July 4 BBQ dinner at Roadside BBQ in San Rafael. Americorps volunteers from St Louis are working in and around San Rafael on various wildfire abatement projects.

San Rafael Fire Foundation joins San Rafael Firefighters in honoring Americorps volunteers with Thanksgiving dinner. Twenty young volunteers far from home had no plans or means to pull together a traditional feast. Donations from SRFF, Dr Stephen Mizroch, and Andy's Local Market helped create a happy day for these hard-working folks. Firefighters delivered the goods!

FALL 2020 FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN On behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to thank you for supporting the San Rafael Fire Foundation (SRFF) with your past donations or your participation in our annual Crab Feeds. We are proud to have been instrumental in the SRFD acquiring wish list items that are above and beyond budgeted purchases, for example a fire/rescue boat, thermal imaging cameras that enhance safety in smoke-dense buildings, and aerial drone with camera. ... During this unprecedented season of wildfires, we are fortunate that our beloved community has been spared from devastating wild fires. Yet the demand on our first responders to keep us safe has never been more evident. Moreover, many in our community are asking how they can show their appreciation to the men and women who ensure our safety. The SRFF’s mission is to directly support our firefighters and paramedics by funding technology, equipment, training and public outreach beyond what is solidly allocated by the City to maintain our department as a Class-1 Fire Department. One might say we shine the boots with your charitable gift. Reluctantly, our December 2020 Annual Crab Feed our main fundraising event -- is cancelled due to the ongoing pandemic. FB San Rafael christening Saturday, November 9, 2019. She is officially in operation after the ceremony at Loch Lomand Yacht Harbor. The Fire Foundation is proud to support San Rafael Fire Department with the acquisition of this addition to the department's fire and rescue apparatus.

Regrettably, our crab feed for 2019 is cancelled. Hope to resume in 2020. Thanks to everyone for past support.

FB Confidence, along with FB Tiburon, battle a boat fire near McNears Beach on Tuesday evening, August 13, 2019. Boat occupants were taken to safety without injury. Boat is badly damaged. San Rafael Fire Foundation is proud to have made this response by San Rafael Fire Department possible.

SRFF recently made a grant for the purchase from Southern Marin Fire District of a surplus fire and rescue boat. The boat is now at Loch Lomond Yacht Harbor In slip D2. Once it is renamed and marked for San Rafael Fire it will replace FB Confidence. Thanks
