Just a reminder! We have our FIRST DINE OUT event at THE STAND on October 28th specifically for our SJHGM families! The teachers have planned materials pickup on Wednesday, October 28th, so why not order ahead at The Stand and pick it up on your way home to enjoy some great food without the cooking?! Since you will have your child with you for yearbook pictures, please don't forget to take a picture of your child or of the whole family in front of The Stand showing your S...JHGM support. Send those pictures in to [email protected]! You can either order online with our special coupon code: SJMAGNET or you can show the flyer at the register when ordering. Our program will receive 20% of all proceeds! And the best part is you can go to any of three locations: Encino, Northridge, or Woodland Hills! Thank you and see you there!!

Please don’t forget to come tomorrow (10/28 Wednesday) between 2-3pm to pick up instructional materials in front of the school. Also, don’t forget to bring the following books: 4th Graders:... Bring back novel "The Tiger Rising" 5th Graders: Bring back novel "Tuck Everlasting" Lastly, the Booster Club will be distributing spirit wear and taking individual student pictures for the yearbook. Fill out your child’s meal application at https://tinyurl.com/SJMEALAPP. Students who have submitted their meal app by this Friday, October 16th by 5 p.m., will be entered in a drawing for a chance to win one of several prizes: a Vons gift card for $25 and 10 free kid’s meals to The Habit. Tune in to Monday's morning assembly for the drawing.

October is Anti-Bullying Month and we would like to feature FIVE kids from each class to tell us why bullying is bad or what you can do to stop bullying. This submission is OPTIONAL. If you would like to be considered, please submit the following by replying to this email by October 30th: 1. A photo of your child wearing an ORANGE shirt. This photo may include them holding a sign that says "STOP BULLYING!" It is not required to hold the sign. 2. Have your child write a ON...E sentence statement stating why bullying is bad or what they can do to stop bullying. You can type this statement in the email. Be sure to include your child's full name after the statement. Once we receive all the submissions, we will randomly select FIVE students in each class to be featured for this spread in the yearbook.
