Free PPE for small businesses! The City has secured some Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to support small businesses. [Use of Private Property for Your Business] The City has created a free, temporary Shared Spaces permit for your business to use outdoor space on private property like rear yards, vacant lots, parking lots, and patios. This is in addition to the existing program for sidewalks, parking spaces, and streets. If you want to use space on a neighboring property or a property you do not own, you will need permission from that property owner or their designated agent. Outdoor space c...an be used for physical distancing space for your customers to stand in line, retail space, and seating or dining. Please note that your business use must be allowed in the zoning district or special use district. If you wish to use space in a location away from your existing business, the City will help you figure out if your business is allowed there.
