Voting is a chance to have your voice heard and have a say in policy. Did you know that on November 2nd, 1920, women were universally able to vote in a presidential election for the first time. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment. Celebrate by voting!

A moment of levity during our panel conversation with girls' school grads during Saturday's Open House. They were sharing their thoughts on going off to co-ed environments after going to an all-girls school. As one grad said, "You believe that every woman in the room adds value." For more wisdom from girls' school grads, sign up for one of our Open Houses--November 5th, November 14th, or December 6th. More information at sfgirls.org.

Tomorrow is #UNday. One of their sustainable development goals is to achieve gender equality worldwide. Around the world, women are still underrepresented in leadership roles in government, suffer from abuse and discrimination, and take on more household labor. Currently the UN is working to mitigate the impact of COVID on women's progress by encouraging efforts to provide economic support for women and to make sure women are part of the decision-making process for COVID res...ponse. Women are on the front line of COVID, representing about 70% of the healthcare workforce worldwide. We can all play a small part in helping achieve gender equality by working against gender biases, working to increase girls' and women's participation in areas like STEM and leadership where they are underrepresented, and by making sure women and girls have a voice.
