San Francisco has the lowest COVID-19 death rate of any other major city in the United States while Chinatown continues to record one of the lowest number of cases. Go visit Chinatown this weekend. SFOEWD

Congratulations to the Chinese Merchants Association in organizing the fabulous 30th Anniversary San Francisco Autumn Moon Festival Celebration online and bringing this global experience to everyone in the comfort of their homes. Many of its loyal volunteers and supporters gathered for a group photo in Chinatown’s Grant Avenue on Saturday, September 21 followed by a lion dance. Make sure you stop by Chinatown’s Walkway Weekends as more shops are re-opening. #SFOEWD

Our hats off to iCafe, a woman-owned local bakery for half a century that also produces its own brand of moon cakes. What a better way to celebrate the Moon Festival (October 1) by supporting our own bakery stores in Chinatown? That’s also the message from Aaron Peskin, a member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisor, Eddie Au, President of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Ding Lee, President of the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association, and Kitty Fong, President of the Rose Pak Democratic Club. There is no better time to visit Chinatown and support its small businesses as San Francisco is reopening and keeping everyone safe. #SFOEWD
