This just in at SFCS. Champagne Andre Heucq Hommage Parcellaire Les Roches 2014 100%Pinot Meunier aged in barrel with zero dosage. 700 bottles produced. This is not your typical Meunier. The texture is amazing. The NV Heritage is half the price and not half the wine. Lehmann A. Benoit Lahaye Le Jardin de Grosse Pierre is just superb. This is vintage 2013 disgorged 10/2017 and it has been in the SFCS cellar for about 2.5 years. Old vines from a single vineyard and a field blend of all seven varieties and a few more that no one is quite sure of. About 1700 bottle produced so not an easy one to find but if you get the chance take it. I have a few in the cellar if you are interested. #champagne #wine #benoitlahaye #sanfrancisco #bayarea

This is why we enjoy grower producer champagnes. The current release of Vendemiarire is exceptional and makes it challenging to find a champagne this delicious at this price or even much more. The San Francisco Champagne Society was established in August 2014. A new empty jar is added at the start of each year and it is filled with the plaque de muselets from the bottles enjoyed in the lounge. Each year gets larger as the word continues to spread about this hidden gem in a loft South of Market in SF. We will have to make an effort to catch up to fill the 6th jar after the pandemic passes and the lounge reopens. #champagne #wine #drink #tock #bayarea
