My grandpa (Angela speaking) swam the Rio Grande from Monterrey to Texas for a better life for his family. He worked under the table as a cook, was deported and swam back OFTEN and finally had the opportunity to move my aunts and uncles here with almost no money and no place to live. People risk their lives and save all their money to come to this country. It’s tough to see it amongst the chaos, but it truly is a privilege to live here. You have a voice.
