Back to stick, stay & make it pay. The Marin Coast produced some quality fish for us today. Nothing wide open but patience & diligence paid off with just shy of a fish per rod with the big Salmon weighing in at 30lbs... and Cheryl added a bonus 20lb Halibut too !! Well... we went just a little bit further north than we’ve been fishing lately and found some decent action on some normal size (5-10lb average) Salmon today. Just shy of a fish per rod... 13 fish up to a big fish of 14lb.

Pretty tough scratch today. We did have a few missed opportunities but overall, honestly... pretty slow !!! We managed to get three King Salmon and a few assorted Rockfish. We’ll be taking tomorrow off from Salmon fishing but we’ll be back after them on Sunday... hoping that next wave moves in by then !!!!

Michael, Kieth & Scott had a great day !!! And really, we all had a great day !!! Unfortunately no one else caught a fish on this one... Definitely had to work for ‘em, and it would always be nice to get every one we hook... but that NEVER happens. Had some missed opportunities as well but in the end we managed to put three of ‘em on the boat.

The pattern continues for us... HIT & MISS !! 20 fish... , then 5 fish... , then 17 fish , then today, 2 fish - tomorrow should be good I guess ?? Another day of solid Salmon action for us. Just over a fish per rod of tha same big, quality fish. 17 Kings up to 28lb !! Little bit tougher bite on the Salmon grounds today... we managed to get 5 into the boat by the end of the day. Hit & miss lately, but it ain’t over yet. Waves of fish keep moving through !! We expect this pattern to continue throughout the remainder of our season... hit it on a big day and the potential for great action on big fish is very real !!!

Great Salmon fishing for us today !! 18 of ‘em up to 29lb for our light load of only 11 anglers. GREAT fishing today. Super fun people & good weather. We definitely had PLENTY of action !! Ended the day with 20 Salmon, but easily had double that in opportunities... oh well !! If we had landed everything we hooked we would surely have all been arrested for having way over limits, so I guess it’s all for the best.

Another fine day on the water. Definitely not our biggest score of the season but some big ones for sure. We had great weather & sea conditions, friends & family & a great group... and a breath of fresh air too. Ended up with 4 Salmon in the box up to a 33lb whopper... caught by the girl of course... congrats on a real nice catch Alex !!!

A BIG improvement in the Salmon action and a MUCH reduced risk of Capt Jared’s house burning up means we’re back up & running here... While we were not out fishing today, limits were reported amongst the fleet !! Sounds like the Fall Run push we’ve been waiting for is finally here !! Due to circumstances beyond my control (namely our home’s proximity to the Glass Fire) we will be taking the next few days off... stay safe everyone and we’ll be back !! Sorry for the next day post here, things were a bit crazy yesterday, but we DID fish yesterday... Mon, Sept 28th. We had a great group including a couple of heavy hitters here. We ended the day with 4 Salmon, 1 Halibut, and several Rockfish.
