Flamenco dancing at Sakura Gardens! At our recent June picnic, our entertainment was hugely popular! Flamenco dancers, led by Mikaela Kai, performed various dances for our residents. Our residents loved every minute of it and are already asking for them to return for another performance. How many of you have tried flamenco dancing? #sakuragardens #pacificaseniorliving #flamenco #dancing #AssistedLiving #RetirementPlanning #Retirement #SeniorsofFacebook #SeniorActivities #MemoryCare

Recently, we had our June picnic at Sakura Gardens! Because of the pandemic, we had to cancel our June picnic last year, so our residents were extra happy and excited that we were able to have our event this year! The residents enjoyed In N Out burgers with some fries, ice cream, and a cold beverage! We are looking forward to bringing back more events like this in the months ahead! Do you enjoy In N Out burger?... #sakuragardens #pacificaseniorliving #junepicnic #innoutburgers

The Sakura Gardens' multi-level pond is very popular amongst our residents, staff, volunteers, and guests! Our pond is also popular for our visiting ducks, who enjoy a little splash in the pond during the warm summer days! The residents truly enjoy seeing the koi fish, as well as the ducks and turtles that spend time in our pond. Finding ways to stay cool during the hot summer is important for all! Are any of you planning any trips to the ocean or the mounta...in lakes this summer? #sakuragardens #pacificaseniorliving #hotsummer #pond #ducks

What movies are showing at Sakura Gardens this week? This week a couple of our movies are a little more current, as the residents usually enjoy classic movies from their past. Watching movies in an air conditioned hall with friends and enjoying popcorn is a great way for residents to stay cool on a hot afternoon! Please leave us your favorite movie recommendations in the comments!... #sakuragardens #pacificaseniorliving #movies #AssistedLiving #RetirementPlanning #Retirement #SeniorsofFacebook #SeniorActivities #MemoryCare

Our Sakura Gardens' residents enjoy and appreciate the information received when Dr. Iwata from CareMore comes to speak to them every quarter. Because of COVID 19, he has not been able to come by but we are looking forward to a virtual lecture very soon. While we would rather see him in person, we appreciate their efforts to share this information with our residents virtually. #PacificaSeniorLiving #SakuraGardens #CovidAwareness #VirtualCommunity #ThankYou

We love our residents at Sakura Gardens, but we also love their families who provide love and support to our residents and staff. A staff member recently received a "Thank You" card expressing her appreciation to our staff and their efforts. Little gestures like this aren't needed but greatly appreciated and we love sharing with you. THANK YOU to all of our residents and their families, you are the reason love to do what we do!! ... #PacificaSeniorLiving #SakuraGardens #ThankYou #PowerOfPassion #WeLoveYou

The temperatures are still a little hot but Fall has come to Sakura Gardens! While we do not have the vibrant fall colors in all areas of the garden, a few of our trees are showing some beautiful yellow and orange leaves. Our residents truly enjoy the natural beauty that can be found on our campus. #PacificaSakuraGardens #PacificaSeniorLiving #FallColors #Nature #Autumn

Harvey Ball, a commercial artist from Worcester, Massachusetts created the smiley face in 1963. That image went on to become the most recognizable symbol of good will and good cheer on the planet. The multi-level pond at Sakura Gardens is very popular amongst our residents and visitors. The beauty and serenity is something that most can feel when they see it. Both the residents and the fish were happy that the cleaning crew was working hard to keep the pond clean. Our Sakura Gardens' residents enjoyed a special treat, courtesy of one of our favorite volunteers, Mr. Kita. Dorayaki is a traditional Japanese treat which is similar to 2 small pancakes with sweet red beans in between. The treats we received had a mascot of a popular Japanese animated character, Doraemon. Coincidentally, one of our staff members had a Doraemon mask! We are very fortunate to have volunteers who care for our residents and have been trying to stay connected d...uring the last 6 months. Thank you to Mr. Kita for your wonderful support, we appreciate you! #SakuraGardens #PacificaSeniorLiving #Doraemon #Mask #Fun

Our residents here at Sakura Gardens love watching classic movies! Art, music, and movies are high on our resident's lists of things they enjoy. Specifically, movies provide our residents with a bit of an escape and a blast from the past as they enjoy sharing their thoughts with one another. This week we are featuring two classics, "Bushi no Ichibun" and "Meet Me in St. Louis" both of which are fan favorites here. What are some of your favorite movies to watch?... #SakuraGardens #PacificaSeniorLiving #MovieMarathon #FilmFun #BlastFromThePast

Our Sakura Gardens residents were intrigued and amazed by the heavy duty machinery needed to replace the AC unit on the roof of our Assisted Living building. A large crane was brought in to remove the old chiller and install the new unit which was hoisted up onto the roof. Our residents are looking forward to staying cool, even during the heat waves. #SakuraGardens #PacificaSeniorLiving #StayCool #AC #FeelingGood
