Excellent ground manners, lunges on voice commands, zero buck or bolt, clips, ties, goes in a hackamore. Good morning! What a crazy few weeks we have had here in Santa Cruz. From heat waves, to lightning, to devastating fires ravaging the mountains next door to us. I have spent the better half of two weeks setting up evacuation pens along our road for incoming horses with our Castlewood Ranch team and hauling horses out of evacuated areas. With things calming down, I’ve been heavily reminded of how lucky I am to have my home, my horses, and my family. I just want to extend a hu...ge thank you to everyone working the frontlines of the fires and to all the amazing volunteers and vets at the Santa Cruz County Fair Grounds. You are all amazing and I have been watching everything you are doing with so much admiration and love. In the midst of all the craziness, Joey was sold and went to his new home! Huge congratulations to his new ownersI cannot wait to see this team progress together!! We also brought in a new rescue from Texas. After major hoof adjustments he is happy and sound! These small things make my job worth every second
