We remove the existing tile, save it, and then install a new waterproof underlayment. We lose approximately 15% of the tile to breakage. Next, we reinstall the existing tile. We replace the 15% lost to breakage with new tile. The new tile is blended with the old tile salt and pepper style. The tiles here have all been set in mortar and secured using the twisted tie-wire system. The finished look maintains the original character of the home.
