Families took home warm coats at @ccpa_lions just in time for winter. From our schools to their tables, our neighbors also took home bags filled of canned goods, rice, fresh eggs and chicken. #coatdrive #ccpa #oakland #fooddistribution #bayarea #giving #wintercoats #nonprofit #safepassages #community #organization

This year, the focus of Safe Passages' #GivingTuesday is on immediate COVID-19 relief services in our community. We are reaching out to both the public and to our own networks to join us in serving our families and communities this holiday season. We promise to leverage every dollar, and put your money to work, serving the children and families in our communities to disrupt the cycle of poverty. It is through these individual donations that Safe Passages can sustain food, dia...per, and PPE distribution events, remote learning assistance and material distribution, and our annual toy drive event for our highest need families. Today, we ask that you renew your commitment to supporting low-income children and families across our communities. More than ever, during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are counting on your generosity to help our children overcome the barriers of poverty, and remain healthy, safe, and supported in their learning and overall development. Just $20 can provide groceries, diapers, and PPE to a family for 2 months through our distribution events. $35 can provide a student with at-home learning materials and project supplies, assuring that all our families and students have a successful academic year. $50 can assure all of our students go home with a gift this year for the holidays. Due to the pandemic, many of our families are struggling to put food on the table, let alone purchase holiday gifts for their children. Now more than ever before, a gift has the potential to make a world of difference in a child’s life. Facebook is matching all Giving Tuesday donations! Please consider donating today. Every donation, small or large, can make the world of difference in the lives of our community members.
