Welcome back from winter break! I hope you all are refreshed and ready to start the semester on a great note. Our first MENC/NAfME meeting will be this Friday, January 1st, at 3pm. The room will be announced shortly. Please come and share your ideas of projects we can partake in this semester. Also, we will be talking about the CMEA conference in Fresno at the end of February. Strings methods class students learn a creative method for teaching vibrato on cello!

This Wednesday night Sacramento State's Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Concert Band perform a variety of creative and traditional pieces, including a couple of holiday classics sure to put you in the spirit! Come and hear a number of our fantastic music ed majors play them all at 7:30pm!

The final concerts of the semester are approaching! Come hear the CSUS Symphony Orchestra this Tuesday night at 8pm! The evening's program will include Academic Festival Overture by Brahms, Symphony No. 1 by Sibelius, and Carl Maria von Weber's Bassoon Concerto in F Major, featuring music education/bassoon performance major Taylor Haugland. Hope to see you all there!
