Our local parks and open spaces are an important part of our community and while our maintenance crews work hard to keep them clean and maintained, we can use a little bit of help from our park visitors! We don’t ask that you clean up after others if you would like to do that, we thank you we are just asking that you leave the park the way you found it and clean up after yourself. For some easy ways you can help keep our parks clean, visit:... https://www.saccounty.net//Pa/HelpUsKeepOurParksClean.aspx See more

Yesterday at around 8:45 a.m., our Rangers conducted a stop on a suspicious vehicle at Howe Avenue Access. During the stop, Rangers discovered that one of the occupants of the vehicle was a wanted felon. Incident to that arrest approximately 118 pounds of marijuana was located in the vehicle. The subjects admitted they had transported the drugs here from Oregon for distribution. Methamphetamine and Heroin were also recovered. Both subjects were booked at County Jail on felony charges. We want to give a huge shout out to our Rangers! They work hard to keep our parks safe, and this is a prime example of that!
