Happy Saturday!!! Last week, our Outreach Team and south area officers participated in a bicycle rodeo at the Valley Hi Community Center. Our officers had the opportunity to donate several bikes to some of our local youth. While at this event, south area gang officers met an 8-year-old who had a positive attitude, even after his name was not drawn during the raffle to receive a new bike. The gang officers made it a point to secure an additional bike for the young man. He was all smiles when our officers showed up with a new bike for him. Special thanks to our gang officers for making his day and having a positive impact on the youth in our community!! #sacpd #sacramento

We had a blast at the Natomas Park 4th R program. These kids were able to learn about bike safety as well as one young lady was the big winner of a new bicycle, helmet, and safety bag! This would not be possible without a grant to the Pedals Program from Union Pacific Railroad. Thank you!!!

SPD Outreach Officers visited three 4th R sites today in North Sacramento to teach students about bicycle and pedestrian safety. 3 lucky kids won bicycles complete with safety kits (helmets/locks/etc). A BIG THANK YOU to UPRR for their grant which makes bicycle donations to children possible. through our Pedals Program!

The Annual SacPAL Fishing Derby was held on Saturday, November 3rd. It was a beautiful day for some amazing young anglers cast lines with Sacramento Police offi...cers and enjoy a fun filled day! With 2000 lbs. of trout planted at Granite Regional Park, there were plenty of fish to go around. The largest measuring in at 14 inches. This was the final fishing derby of the season and was a huge success - watch for our derbies next year and come on out and join us! #sacpd See more
