The Big DoG is almost here! Don't let this one get away! You can help the Sacramento Parks Foundation build emPOWERment Park, the first inclusive park in the Arden-Arcade community! The project was awarded a Proposition 68 grant for construction costs by the State of California State Parks Department-Office of Grants and Local Services. But first we need to purchase a small portion of land not being donated by SMUD, and conduct appraisals, survey work, and other real estate t...ransactions. These services must be paid for now, before the State can provide the grant funds. SPF is asking for your assistance to accomplish these important tasks. We are very excited to announce that The Sacramento Parks Foundation has been awarded $6,280,000 in Prop 68 funds for EmPOWERment Park! This amazing park in Sacramento County will include a fully-inclusive playground, picnic/BBQ areas, a restroom, a shade structure, a community garden, public art, a water play area, an open space/turf area, a court game area, a bankshot court, a parking lot, landscaping, and lighting.
