These days, the threat of fire is always present, especially during periods of extreme heat and drought. During tomorrow’s Tuesdays @ 2, the #MetroChamber speaks to @MetroFireofSacramento about how, we as a business community and residents of the region can share summer safety tips as we enjoy the natural and urban landscape. From rivers, forests, and structures, safety measures for summer CAN make the difference. Join us tomorrow on Facebook Live for a conversation that will help save our land, protect our businesses, and ensure the safety of our communities.

"I think it would be fair to say, we’re all still building the plane while flying the plane, as we have been all year long. But right now, the City of Sacramento and Office of Economic Development have resources on how to maintain outdoor space while not unintentionally burning down your own restaurant." - Amanda Blackwood, President & CEO of the #MetroChamber Restaurants that have already been struggling due to the coronavirus pandemic are preparing to face another challenge: winter. The Aggie Square project is one step closer to realization. After Tuesday’s Sacramento City Council meeting (Oct. 27), in which members unanimously adopted a resolution of intention to establish the Aggie Square Enhanced Infrastructure Financing District or EIFD, UC Davis leadership is encouraged by the city’s continued commitment to this transformative venture. The #MetroChamber wrote a letter in support for the addition at UC Davis. The project will go before the UC Board of Regents during its meeting scheduled for Nov. 17-19. If approved, construction is scheduled to begin in the first half of 2021. Learn more here: https://www.ucdavis.edu//sacramento-city-council-adopts-in
