Tomorrow is the big Art Elephant sale at the Shepard Garden & Art Center. If you want some new art or craft supplies for you or your kids, stop by for some real... bargains. Admission is free and the sale begins at 10am in the air conditioned building. I will be selling yarn, needles, books and lots of paper crafting materials. SCTA’s Art to Wear & More event has become a VIRTUAL MARKETPLACE for 2020. Instead of shopping for just two days, people will be able to shop from November through a January. If you would like to be a vendor for the marketplace, go to the website for FAQs and the application.

Calling all textile artists! SCTa is seeking vendors for our new Virtual Marketplace. For just $2535 makers can have their handcrafted fiber art pieces listed on our website. FAQs and the application will be available October 17th the Marketplace will be one for shopping through January. Ágnes Herczeg, Lace Artwork "My name is Ágnes Herczeg. I was born in Hungary and I still live here in a small town next to the river Danube. I started working w...ith lace works in 2013. I mainly use natural threads of plant origin like linen, hemp, cotton, jute, raphia etc. While preparing a lace work, I usually make use of threads of different origin and thickness and I also apply several techniques. I mainly use needle lace technique, which I frequently combine with pillow lace and braiding work. The frame of the pictures is made of small branches, bark, coconut shell or any other material of my liking. This 'frame' constitutes a compositional part of the picture.
