The United States Army Recruiting Command has authorized its soldiers to wear a redesigned shoulder patch. Recruiters from the 6th Medical Recruiting Battalion, headquartered in Las Vegas, held a virtual patch-passing ceremony in advance of the authorized wear date, Sept. 14, 2020. The 6th MRBn recruits medical, dental, veterinary and religious professionals and students from throughout the western third of the United States. Take a journey to several of our stations as our recruiters "pass" the new patch from one to another.

1Lt Thomas Hoang Nguyen was commissioned Aug 23, 2017 as a Medical School Stipend Program (MSSP) recipient. In addition to attending school, 1LT Nguyen also serves his community full-time in the summer as a Deputy Sheriff Psychiatric Officer assigned to the Sacramento County Main Correction Facility. Thanks to the Army, he earns a monthly stipend of more than $2,400. The 6th Medical Recruiting Battalion, headquartered in Las Vegas, said goodbye to its commander, LTC Kenneth Lutz, during a change of command ceremony July 30, 2020. LTC Davin Bridges assumed command of the Army's largest medical recruiting battalion.

What an amazing story! Gregory Jean-Charles was born in #Haiti and was raised by his grandparents who inspired him to a life of service. He recently commissioned through the #Army Medical Recruiting Station #SanFrancisco as a Captain in the #ArmyNurseCorps. He earned his bachelor’s degree in nursing from #BrowardCollege and master’s degree in nursing from #PhoenixUniversity. A resident of #Modesto, CA, CPT Jean-Charles will be attached to an Army Reserve unit in Florida. The Army just became stronger.
