Services for Unaccompanied Veterans resumed today, for the first time since before the pandemic. Your Sacramento Valley National Cemetery Support Committee was the proud recipient of the honorary flag and three shells representing the 21 gun salute. What an honor. My heart was full.

Thank you so much to everyone who donated and or shared for Avenue of Flags. We are short of our goal, but we're going to give it one more week. We still know there are some that wanted to donate but was not in a position to at the time or maybe just forgot. There's still time. Again, thank you all. it is so appreciated.

Due to the SVNCSC (Sacramento Valley National Cemetery Support Committee) not being able to host any fund raisers this year, we still have one fund raiser we need help with. It’s the Avenue of Flags, there are 32 flags that the Committee supports upon the entrance of the cemetery. We need to purchase Flags, lanyard and hooks and we need donations for the help. Sacramento Valley National Cemetery Support Committee 04.09.2020

Volunteers needed for wreath clean up this Saturday. Official start time is 8 am, although it is typical for volunteers to start at sunrise. Important changes to clean up. Pickup trucks will not be needed to haul wreaths to dumpsters. Recology trash collection trucks will available to collect wreaths at curbside. Parking will also be relegated to a designated area. Recommended to bring a pole or dowel and work in pairs stringing the wreaths on it for easier carrying . It will be damp and cold so dress accordingly.
