This Friday- Lunch & Learn! Guest Speaker:Firefighter Matt Fiorenza "Resiliant Warriors- Warrior Training for the Front Lines" Friday Nov. 22 11:00- 12:30 Room A-130... Join the Fire Tech Club for pizza & a presentation. We provide the pizza and our guest speaker will provide you with the information you need to become a resiliant responder. A disaster can impair resilience, even for experienced responders, due to stress, traumatic exposure, distressing psychological reactions, and disrupted social networks. Feelings of grief, sadness, and a range of other emotions are common after traumatic events. Resilient warriors, however, are able to work through the emotions and effects of stress and painful events and rebuild their lives. It is never to early, or too late, to learn these strategies. Building resilience involves tapping into personal strengths and the support of family, colleagues, and friends. Firefighter Matt Fiorenza will share his personal journey and teach us how to tap into our own warrior strengths.
