The Midtown Neighborhood Association is looking for solutions to help make Midtown more comfortable under Covid-19 conditions, and is interested in creating a set of slow streets (partially or fully closed streets that provide more public space for recreation, walking, bicycling, and access to essential businesses and services). MNA has prepared a survey to receive input from residents, businesses, and visitors of the Midtown area of Sacramento about a potential slow streets pilot in the Midtown Area. If interested, please fill out the survey here: https://docs.google.com//1FAIpQLSemtzQ-uuUhB8kJAn/viewform

Thank you to our Code Enforcement Team for waking up during the wee hours of the night this summer to support our local businesses. They cleaned up glass, removed graffiti, secured storefronts, and provided leadership to volunteers. Their support during these difficult times is vital, and we are incredibly grateful for their work.

Cesar Chavez Park now has a new, stand-alone "Portland Loo" restroom. Portland Loos are coated in stainless-steel, making them difficult to vandalize and easy to clean, and require minimal utilities, at 1.28 gallons per flush and a max 60-watt load. After a final walkthrough, utility connections, and final building inspections are completed, the restroom will be available to the public. We expect the fencing to come down within the next two weeks.
