I guess it is kind of official in that I am now in San Juan Capistrano. The post I had at my previous church, St Barnabas, in Long Beach was moved to my parish, the Mission Basilica, in San Juan Capo. The monsignor caught me taking a picture of it in church during Mass. He asked what was going on and I told him about the advertising. He forgave me.

October 15, much like April 15 is another mini rush of tax filings. The good news is that 2014 returns will be done. Then about 3 and 1/2 ,months then the madness begins for 2015 returns. Enjoy the rest of 2015.
It is three days to the end of tax season. The last time I posted it was a month in and 100 returns down. Now I am 2 months and a week and 600 returns down. Winding down, and been more exhausting than previous years (I guess age is catching up). Still will do about 70 returns (to finish up) A banner year. Thank you all. My vacation is about to begin. Honey I am home and let the roadtrips begin. I'm out.
Good morning FB Friends. It is two weeks into tax season (61 days left but who is counting). I have completed about 100 returns and have had 4 returns with (ACA) obamacare damage. For majority of taxpayers insurance is an automatic (despite rising cost of premiums and deductibles). But according to the govt, 4 percent of the population will have something to do with the ACA. Well so far that is true based on what I have done. So far so good, and the anxiety of processing those is over. Bring it on. By the way Turbo Tax (intuit) as Liam Neeson said in Taken II, Good Luck. I'm out.
It is the calm before the storm. Finished up all tax continuing education. The Affordable Care Act, one of the largest pieces of legislation since Social Security Act, will bring lots of new taxes and nuances to the filing season. You have the advanced premium credits to reconcile, the penalties for not having insurance, you have the additional taxes on medicare, and net investment income. Congress just passed extender bills for the taxes that are expired (12/31/2013). Tax filing will be late again this year.
Open enrollment for 2017 health coverage ends 1/31/2017. After this date, enrollment will only be available if you experience a qualifying event (examples: involuntary loss of other health coverage, birth or adoption, marriage - to name a few). If you don't qualify for an exemption, you will owe a penalty to the IRS.

After 36 years working in the South Bay and Long Beach I am moving my accounting practice to San Juan Capistrano, Ca. This last tax season was a very good one but being a very good one called for me to be at work more hours. When I found myself trying to cheat sleep I knew it was time to move. So as of August first I am now at 29122 Rancho Viejo Road Ste 104, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675. Same phone number 562-424-8721, but now have an OC number 949-226-7010. Look forward to seeing everybody there this year. If not there is always email, sky-ping and fax.
The end of one of the more exhausting tax seasons. It was my 36th year preparing returns. Don't know if it is because I do over 600 returns or age or the drive. But it was a very successful one. Thank you, all my clients new and old. Serving for all those years has been my honor. I would say to the next 36 but it is not going to happen. Till the next. Thank you.
Into the second week of my 36th year of Tax Preparation for individuals and business. It is great to see my clients that are my friends some for almost the same amount of time as I have been in practice. So this maybe my last post till the end of the season. Much gratitude to all those that have supported me during those years and much gratitude to my clients that have showed great confidence in me. Thank you.
