Interesting first molar CEREC crown with three proximal contacts due to the position of the premolars. The patient does not want to do ortho. I wasn't quite sure how the CEREC software would react to this setup, but the proposal was almost perfect. Our patient was in need of a new implant crown. When we attempted to remove the crown placed by the previous dentist, we discovered that the head of the screw was stripped. Many thanks to Dave Gayner at Nobel Biocare for allowing us to borrow these special instruments. The 0.5 mm drill was run in reverse at 2,000 rpm to carefully drill a 1 mm deep hole in the center of the 1 mm wide screw. Then, the reverse-threaded driver was used to reverse-torque the screw. I noticed that my teeth felt more sensitive a few weeks after beginning to use a replacement Sonicare toothbrush head purchased from Amazon. After doing some research, I learned that it is counterfeit. It would have been impossible to tell that without knowing what to look for: the absence of some tiny writing on the inside of the toothbrush head.
