As we all head back into our offices (and some of us staying in our home offices!), we are surrounded by what was once familiar. In my office, both in my home and professional, I boast pictures of my beautiful family, a laptop that is always on and of course, my jets collectors' items! What do YOU have in your office? Tell me what surrounds you when you work!

Let's play a game: WOULD YOU RATHER! Now that summer is in full swing, we must remember to enjoy it when we can. Yes, we are all busy as life resumes and normalcy (kind of) returns but we cannot forget about our downtime and leisure time! Would you rather spend a day at the beach or a day in nature? Tell me in the comments below!

Shout out to my fit fam out there! We are ALWAYS a work in progress. But do not limit yourselves to the belief that it is just our bodies and minds that are works are in progress... Our BUSINESSES are too! Whether you are an employee or a business owner, being a work in progress leaves room for improvement. No one knows it all (not even me if you can believe it! ). Therefore, do your best to keep your mindset on the fact that you are always a work in progress, and allow yourself the ability to learn new things and strengthen your craft. Anyone else enjoy being a work in progress?

What a great way to start off a Monday morning! Reviews like this both humble me and remind me why I do what I do. The answer? I love the law and helping people benefit from it! I pride myself in my ability to stay personable, even when regarding complex sometimes not-so-exciting topics...like contracts! However, contracts ARE exciting as they are what protect you in the long run. I am thankful for all of your support and wonderful reviews. I am happy to announce the majority... of my clients are repeat clients and referral-based. That is a great thing. Have a great week everyone!

Happy Tuesday everyone! I've decided to share 3 top secret tips on how to get new clients! The world is beginning to open up again and it is time to do the big push to get our businesses up and running again...and that means, NEW CLIENTS! Here are the top 3 ways to get new clients: ASK FOR REFERRALS - Utilize the clients you already have! Your clients have friends and family who may be of need of your services. Who else would they trust besides their own loved ones? Get tho...se referrals! NETWORK - Good old-fashioned networking is now back and in-person! Hitting the ground running begins with putting yourself and your products/services out there. OFFER DISCOUNTS FOR NEW CUSTOMERS - Incentivizing is a GREAT way to get new customers. When people see "discount", it triggers an interest. And there you have it! 3 tried and true, proven ways to get new customers. Let's get back to growing our businesses...together. Happy Friday everyone! Today's lesson is to focus on being PRODUCTIVE versus BUSY. Do you know the difference? Let's discuss! To be busy is to jam-pack everything you think you need to do in your day; thus, leaving you exhausted. And if you are exhausted, are you really getting your business done the way it needs to be? Are you cutting corners? Now...PRODUCTIVITY is maximizing your efficiency based on selecting your priorities and executing them with intention and diligence. ...See the difference? Choose the most important things in your day and stay in the moment as you complete your tasks. Each thing require your full attention and time. Trust me, being productive yields far greater results and a job well done versus "at least I got everything done"...and it being done with half-effort due to exhaustion. Let's all practice being PRODUCTIVE versus BUSY!

Here it is, folks...what you've all been waiting for: FIVE FUN FACTS ABOUT ME! Fun Fact #1: My first job was opening day of Brooklyn's first EVER Baskin Robbins. I got fired the second day for being "too sociable". Fun Fact #2: I commuted to work on average of 3 hours per day on 405 for 18 YEARS. Gave me time to observe some interesting traffic habits. Fun Fact #3: I played a halftime Knicks/76ers game in Madison Square Garden at the age of 12. No, they didn’t’ draft me ... Fun Fact #4: As an adult, I told NY Jets Super Bowl QB Joe Namath (to his face!) that I attended his worst game ever (also at 12 years old) as a pro. I reminded him that he threw SIX interceptions...not five. I'm sure he appreciated that. My law partner thought it was the greatest conversation ever. If only there were cell phone cameras. Fun Fact #5: I took the LSAT by accident, spiking a 102 degree fever, 12 hours after getting an application when I walked into UCLA looking for a MBA application (oops!). Oh well, I have the application, I might as well go take the test. Now everyone can sleep better tonight. You're welcome, and have a happy, safe weekend!

We are counting down the days until the end of the year (thank heavens!). This is a time for reflection and let's face it, cramming in all of those last few things we told ourselves we would before year's end. So, what is one thing you will accomplish before the end of the year? (My answer is in the comments!)

December is the most festive time of year! I would love to know what some of your favorite holiday stories/movies are? Instead of focusing on everything that is going wrong this year, let's spread some holiday cheer (Who knew I was a poet...and didn't know it?)! What is your favorite holiday story/movie?

The word of the month for December is: EXTRAORDINARY! This year has pushed many of us to our limits...and we have learned our truest strengths. We are resilient. We are strong. We are extraordinary! I chose this word to represent this month because it is the last month of a year that has altered many of our lives forever. We must stay the course and push forward. Let us dedicate the last 30 days of the year to being extraordinary on our final push into the new year. It is time for hard work and achieving our goals!

It is SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY, folks! That means today you should SHOP SMALL BUSINESSES! Now more than ever, small and local businesses need our business. Amazon and other megacorps can handle their own but small businesses are feeling the greatest impact of the pandemic. So let's remember that each purchase is paying for children's dance classes, an education, food on the table and mortgages. We may not have it all together but together, we have it all!

"Hey guys, it's me, Zoe! Grandpa decided to let me have the keyboard today. First of all, I just wanted to say thank you for all the nice compliments; you really know how to make a girl feel special! Second, and most importantly, Grandpa loves his clients! He loves the emails, texts, phone calls and interactions with you all regarding your businesses and helping them flourish (big words, but I'm THAT smart!). He tells me all the time how much he appreciates you all. Just thought I'd let you know. Have a great day! I'm off to take over the world..."
