For evictions the unlawful detainers (the process for evicting a tenant) is through the court systems and the Judicial Council governs the court system in California. They have voted that they will not process any unlawful detainers/evictions for 90 days after the California State of Emergency for COVID-19 ends. Once that has ended as declared by the Governor, then after the 90-day period they will begin to process the unlawful detainers in the court systems. There has been an agreement to extend the moratorium on foreclosures for government-backed loans through Aug. 31. It should be noted that this does not apply to private investors who hold private liens.
