Shop Updates as of 1/13/21 We will be open tomorrow - 1/14/21 With the current spikes in COVID cases in our area, we want to provide the best and SAFEST level of service possible. Thank you for all of your support over the last few months!... BUSINESS HOURS Tuesday - Friday 11:00 to 6:00, Saturday 11:00 to 5:00 NEW SHOP GUIDELINES Until the risk of COVID transmission decreases, we will not be allowing in store shopping. As a business in Fresno County, we are following the mask mandate. Masks are mandatory while shopping indoors or outdoors at Rubber Soul Bicycles. Thanks for your cooperation. We will be offering website ordering, phone orders as well as curbside delivery. We welcome you to come to the front door and allow one of our staff to assist you with your shopping needs. REPAIRS We will be accepting repairs with a 1 to 2 week turnaround. ALL REPAIRS MUST BE TAKEN TO THE FRONT DOOR. We will not take any repairs through the back of the shop. BIKE PURCHASES We are more than happy to show you as many bikes as you would like to look at in the back outside area. When we are busy the shop fills up too fast and creates a health risk that we are not comfortable with. Our goal is to keep our customers and staff safe as best as possible given the current situation. Thank you - Rich & Be
Use your short-billed cycling cap to protect against sun or rain. Flip it around to protect your neck or invest in a heavy-duty cold weather cap that includes ear flaps!

THE NEW MODERN ROAD BIKE A test lab experience truly birthed this bike. While meditating on the ways that frames move under load, our lead engineer, Peter Denk, realized that true performance lies in the shape of the tubes, not the material. So, while the frame may retain those classic vibes, hidden underneath is extremely advanced tube technology.

SPECIALIZED AETHOS (AY-THOSS) Aethos is based on the Greek word ethos (meaning "character"), which describe the guiding beliefs or ideals that characterize a community. In this case, the cycling community. RULES? WHAT RULES? Turns out, this bike may be *illegal in some circles. With Aethos, we chased ride quality, not a number, but we know a light, stiff, and balanced bike is magic at the pedals. The result? The lightest disc road frame ever produced with builds as light a...s 13lb. with OEM parts. There’s nothing exceptionally weight weenie about what is spec’d on the bike. (*Psstdon’t tell the UCI). WANT TO SEE IT IN PERSON? Stop in the shop today and check it out.
2021 Specialized Stumpjumper EVO now available!
Clean your bike after each ride. Having a squeaky clean bike will help keep your brakes, gears, chains and cassettes, and tires like new. Having a fresh eye on your parts will also help you see small problems before they become an issue.
Cycling among the beautiful changing leaves is priceless! But as it starts to cool down, it's good to know what you'll need to stay warm and cozy during those long autumn rides.

Understand the sensitivity of your bike's gear cogs. Right = Rear, Left = Front. Use different gears for comfort at different speeds and elevations. The average should be about 90 RPM (revolutions of the crank per minute) on flat road and 70 RPM whilst climbing.
Yep, starting this Wednesday - shop hours are now extended! Tuesday through Friday 11:00am to 6:00pm & Saturday 11:00am to 5:00pm
Bring food and water! Drink two to four 16-ounce bottles of per hour. Stick to simple snacks high vitamins and protein for food. Eat 1-2 hours before you hop on your bike, then every 20-30 minutes on rides longer than one hour.
