Nina is a record selector, fitness instructor, and cultural studies scholar whose work focuses on music scenes, subcultures, and vintage style. Involved in the L.A. ska and vintage reggae scene since the early 1990s, she played drums in the all-girl group The Cover Ups, was a resident DJ at the Rocksteady Lounge from 2009-2013, and is currently writing a subcultural history book about the L.A. scene.
