Dear Patients, We hope you and your family are in good health. Our community has been through a lot in the last two months. Like most of you, we are looking forward to having some semblance of normalcy soon. While many things will have changed, our commitment to your safety remains a priority. Infection control has always been imperative in our practice. In light of Covid-19, we would like to inform you of the infection control procedures we will implement in our practice... to keep patients and team members safe. Our office observes infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Heath Administration (OSHA). Based on new guidelines provided by these agencies, we are making modifications to our office protocol. Therefore, you will see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. Here are some examples: Our office will communicate with you before your appointment with screening questions. You'll be asked the same questions again on the day of your appointment before your arrival. When possible, patients will wait in their cars upon arrival. We will text or call you when we have properly disinfected and cleaned your treatment room. Patients must arrive with and wear a mask in our office. Please wear the mask at all times while in the office except during your examination or treatment. Upon arrival, our office will check your temperature Hand sanitizers will be available for your use and convenience. Our waiting room will no longer offer magazines since these items are difficult to clean and disinfect. Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients; that might mean you are offered fewer scheduling options but should also result in shorter waiting times. Dr. Roy and her team have been working tirelessly to prepare for our office to safely reopen. These are some of the additional measures we have taken: daily screening of team members for any signs of illness, using high-speed intraoral suction for the majority of procedures, use of physical barriers when possible to prevent aerosol generation, use of medical grade, OSHA certified disinfectants to sanitize surfaces after every treatment, and water treatment protocols to eliminate viruses and bacteria in the water system. Please note, during the closure we remain available for emergency services and phone consultations. We look forward to seeing your again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we are undertaking to keep you and your family safe. Thank you for being a valuable and loyal patient! Sincerely Yours Dr Roy and Team
