I was honored to have been asked to lead tonight's @the.mobnation Meetup in grounding exercises to help combat election day anxiety. I had an idea going into it with the kinds of exercises I wanted to share -- but as is always the case with therapy, speaking and Meetups... It went beyond what I imagined, and felt pretty damn powerful. Thank you for showing up tonight. It was a balm for me as well. I appreciate so much the chance to share and grow and connect with you wonderful women.

Every Tuesday I go live in my parenting group, and I gotta tell ya... It lights me up! Ever have that total, absolute knowledge of *this* *THIS* is what I'm supposed to be doing! I get that every time I speak - and it turns out, speaking to online groups does it too. I'm so grateful for the folks in this group who ask questions and participate in the prompts! ... I'm in Southern California... It was a long walk today to find a tree with fallen leaves but we did! And came back and made some leaf rubbings! This activity is definitely more about process, not end product. I had big ideas of making enough that we could write gratitudes on them and tape them to the wall, but they were done before that point. And you know what? That's okay. Forcing them to keep going would have taken an activity they enjoyed and made it stressful, and made... us all resentful. Maybe we will come back to this later, maybe not. Or maybe *I* will do a few leaf gratitudes just for me See more
