Engineers Without Borders, Sonoma County Professional Chapter embarked on a program in 2010 to provide remote communities off the Amazon River in Peru with safe and sustainable access to drinking water. To date, the team has developed and implemented 6 systems in various communities throughout the region. Each system is owned, operated and built by the local community, while our team provides the engineering design, construction assistance, fundraising and education. Next Meeting is via Zoom Wednesday January 13, 2021 Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit District Farhad Mansourian Farhad Mansourian is currently the General Manager for the Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit District. He joined SMART in 2011. He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the District’s responsibilities including development and construction of the Project which spans 45 miles long in Marin and Sonoma counties. SMART currently has 9 departments including Public Saf...ety, Operations, Administration, Finance, Engineering, General Services, Vehicle & Systems, Outreach and Marketing and Legal. Next Meeting is via Zoom December 2, 2020 City Council member and head of St. Vincent de Paul (talks about really anything)... Jack Malcolm Tibbetts Jack Tibbetts was born and raised in Santa Rosa. Early on, he attended St. Eugenes School, followed by Montgomery High School, Santa Barbara City College, then UC Berkeley. Jack has held a wide variety of positions ranging from welder, professional skier, open water lifeguard and, currently, the Executive Director of St. Vincent de Paul and as Councilman on the Santa Rosa City Council. Jack also sits on the Board of Directors for Sonoma Clean Power and the Renewal Enterprise District as the City’s representative. When not at work, Jack is an avid pilot, sailor, climber, husband, son, and friend.
