Rotary Club of Portola

Beckwourth Fire Department Chief Brett Russell was our program today. Brett provided information on the many changes happening in his district. We also had club member Van Vander Veen receive his Paul Harris +1 pin. Way to go Van! It was also President Sam Wilbanks’ last meeting. Sam did a fantastic job leading the club during very difficult circumstances. Great job Sam!!

Portola Rotary read to kindergartners and first graders at CRC Elementary School to celebrate read Across America on Dr Seuss' birthday March 2nd. After being read "Red Fish Blue Fish" and "Green Eggs and Ham" each child received their own personal copy. At our meeting today we had a reunion with our former youth exchange students. Here's a video clip that Joao Padovani referenced during the meeting. Fun times!

Portola Rotarian Steve Clifton delivered the 12 coats purchased by the Rotary Club of Portola for the "New Coat Drive" to Dink Rife of EPCAN. The drive provides brand new winter coats where they are needed most.
