Today we gave a Rotary scholarship to a very deserving youth. Congratulations Katie Recker!!!
The club was recognized by District 5320 for its project serving Estado 19 Orphanage in Baja.
Today we delivered 300 Face Shields to "Independence at Home", a SCAN Community Service, connecting seniors and their caregivers to the services needed to stay out of healthcare facilities and nursing homes.
FACE. SHIELD UPDATE As of this morning our District 5320 has assembled 30,000 face shields! Rotary...People of Action!
Our own Rotarian and President Elect, Dr.Andrew Pulver, joined other Rotarians from around the district to make Face Shields for distribution to St. Jude and St. Joseph hospitals.
In reaction of the COVID-19 outbreak, the Rotary Club of Los Alamitios/Seal Beach distributed over $17,000 to organizations and projects serving individuals, families and front line personnel. Among those supported were Grateful Hearts Storehouse, We Care of Los Alamitos, CASA Youth Shelter, Heart of the City and Food Finders. Also included in our support were two Rotary projects which are manufacturing and distributing face masks and face shields to those health care professionals and agencies serving those impacted by the virus. Finally, our "adopted" orphanage in Baja, Mexico received much needed financial resources. We are proud to support each of these organizations/projects and thank our Major Sponsors, SOUTHLAND CREDIT UNION & GANAHL LUMBER COMPANY for their generosity.
We will be creating face shields this Saturday to give to local hospitals and nursing facilities #wearerotary
