I find that spiritual practice has to have a practical application to your typical daily life. Below, I share a story of my lesson about that practicality. If... this resonates with you, my upcoming group Cultivating Spirituality, might be of interest to you. My wife...a healer veteran...a brilliant clinician...and always honest, real, and genuine about her own processes. What more could one ask for in a therapist?

In an attempt to keep up with where folks are/what people are needing in the way of support given all that is going on in our community, I have some new additions to my session offerings. My hope is that these new options allow folks the flexibility to continue to get the support they need. All sessions done via Zoom or by phone. 15-minute check-ins: 2 per month (bi-weekly) free, $20 after that 30-minute check-in/session: $40... *Both of these options need to be scheduled as you would any other session in order to guarantee I have the space open for you. For MediCal/Beacon/CCAH clients...MediCal also has specific billing codes for 15, 30, and 50 minute sessions, so please feel free to reach out if these options suit your needs.

Open letter to my community: I understand and see that you are concerned. This virus took the public off guard and it is uncertain how long this will last. I un...derstand the need for preparation. And understand that I, personally, do not even know exactly what it is I need to "stock up" on I do know there are places that need resources. My family owns care homes. These are 6-bed homes where we care for developmentally disabled children and adults. People that are unable to care for themselves. When my sister goes to the grocery store to shop for our clients, there is no toilet paper, no hand soap, no meat, no cleaners. There are single families of 4 or less, couples, and even single person households hoarding resources that, in all fairness, will not be used because of this crisis. I implore my community to be mindful, to be rational, to be kind, and to be fair to parts of the community that are unable to advocate for themselves. There are, at least, 12 people in your community without essential items because of how mob mentality and fear drives the present human condition. If you are in a position of excess, please consider donating or, heck, even selling to my familys business...our clients are in dire need of: Toilet paper, Paper towels, hand soap, bleach, gloves, masks, cleaners, sanitizers, etc... Thank you for reading, I care about all of you and wish for you all to stay well and safe during this time. PM me if you can help

It is a time like this where I can feel helpless in affecting change on a scale large enough for me to feel as though I am helping. And, I also recognize the critical part of myself that tells me I don't do enough may be driving that misperception. I have decided to set aside 42 hours of my clinical time over the next 8 weeks to assist anyone affected by the events that took place at this year's Gilroy Garlic Festival. This is enough time to see seven people for six 50-minu...te sessions each, absolutely free. If you or anyone you know have been affected by these events, please message me and I will get back to you as soon as I can. This is a call to those that don't otherwise have the means or access to mental health services and are experiencing emotional pain and distress. Please PM me.

Education and Mental Health...two of the most under-funded entities, and yet, these are the two entities that have the power to change so many lives for the better. Please know that I, and so many others, are here for you. To listen, to understand your story, and to help make sense of whatever it is you struggle with. If we heal, we break the cycle of perpetuating pain and suffering. It is no easy task, however, I feel many of us are already aware of the alternative. ... Heal the past...change the future.

If I look at my mistakes through a judgmental lens, that is how I will experience them...with judgment. And if I look at my mistakes through a curious lens, I become an agent of change...rather than a stagnant critic.

Still some picture hanging to do, but I could not wait to share these pictures of the new office. My deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to everyone who donated their resources, time, and energy into making this happen.

Many thanks and much gratitude to those who have donated so far. I am humbled by your support and am excited to continue to raise money in order to expand community mental health services. You CAN get the help and support you desire and I am grateful to be able to offer that help to the community.

An invitation to help support the expansion of affordable outpatient psychotherapy in Monterey, CA. Anything helps, even if it is simply sharing this campaign with someone you know. PLEASE NOTE: if I have provided psychotherapy services to you, I would not feel comfortable accepting monetary donations. I would, however, graciously accept wishes, intentions, and thoughts for a successful campaign.
