Hawaii While I first started putting Hawaii based on each Island, I decided that they all have very similar things to offer but each has their own little quirks. Thanks to warm, shallow and relatively calm waters, there’s no better place to take your first surf lesson than on the beaches of Waikiki on the beautiful Island of Oahu. While on Oahu, visit the Pearl Harbor Historic Sites including the USS Arizona Memorial, Mighty Mo and the Pacific Aviation Museum. Maui is not nearly as large as the Island of Hawaii, nor is it as small as Lanai, as bustling as Oahu or as quiet as Kauai.
