Yesterday, President Biden declared Juneteenth (June 19) a federal holiday. This law became effective immediately. Our District, including all classes, programs, schools, and offices is closed today, Friday, June 18. We are encouraged by this action and are supportive of the formal recognition of such an important event in our nation's history. This #FeatureFriday we want to highlight Roseland Creek Elementary Art Club! This club is directed by one of our 2nd grade teachers, Bridget Clark, and is an annual after school enrichment club that was held virtually this year. Bridget taught art lessons through Zoom to students in TK - 6th grade, serving approximately 50 students in total. Due to the fires and poor air quality we are going to cancel meal distribution on Tuesday. We will be distributing 7 days worth of meals on Thursday from 7:30 AM to 6PM.
