As we stand in awe of the bloom, let us not forget all of the stages that came before it. The seed that rose from the earth into a sprout, the sprout persevered to the sky into a stem, the stem that gave life to leaves, then leaves that flourished a bud that then slowly, over time, opened into a breathtaking expression of nature. All of the parts of your journey, even those that are seemingly slow, small or in a different direction than you planned, are necessary, valid and... beautiful. When we learn to accept the moment we are in, as a moment of growth which will soon be behind us, we learn to appreciate all of it, learn from it and open brighter because of it. What chapter are you trying to rush through? What if you were able to see these times as integral to your bloom? #rootedbeings #rootedbeing #meditationcollective
Meditation encourages us to ground, to find our calm before entering the storm, otherwise we are going to get blown away, and when we are in this powerless state, it is more natural for our ego to take control as a way to protect ourselves. Yet through a habitual practice we become so rooted in who we are, in our true essence that we trust our storms will pass, that we can withstand. And even if we do blow away with our ego, we’ll always find our find our way back to self. We... ground, calm and continue. Each time we meditate, we practice becoming more ourselves. We practice how to ‘be’. But, how do you practice this in your outer world? Some of our favorite ways are...... By being kind to our thoughts By choosing inner peace By helping others By being in the moment By going for phone less walks By sharing gratitude What are some ways you practice becoming more YOU in the outer world?
Our tender heart is our human root. This class will teach us how to reconnect to love when we have lost our way. It encompasses loving-kindness which uses compassionate, forgiving and empathetic practices to use on ourselves, on others and all living things on Earth. During Week 4 of Grow Your Practice, we will study more in depth this practice as well as share how we believe that loving-kindness can mindfully continue to support our fight for racial justice + equity. There is still time to sign up for GYP - launching on Monday!
As a society, we have reached an apex of separation. The pain and suffering we feel individually, is a reflection of the state of Mother Earth. It is clear we cannot continue on like this, but where do we begin? We begin with ourselves. We begin by cultivating a habit of meditation. By closing our eyes, going within, we self-connect so then with our eyes open, we are fully awake to our reality and more confident in what steps need to be taken to create a world we WANT to live... in - one full of love. Head over to the link in our bio to begin to cultivate your meditation habit with us! Grow Your Practice begins on 9/7. Use code GROWWITHUS for early-bird special.
