Here’s an awesome way to get involved this week! Beginning tomorrow we will be collecting new or gently used blankets & coats to help bring warmth and comfort to those experiencing homelessness. You can drop off your donation tomorrow (Sunday) before any of our services or on Monday, the 15th from 9am-4pm in front of the Welcome Center. Please be sure that your donation is clean and ready to be used. In addition, we also encourage you to tuck a note of blessing or encouragement in the pocket or pin it to the blanket as a special surprise for the recipient!

This weekend, we had the privilege of commissioning Andy and Katie Douglas as they prepare to serve in Japan! They will be partnering with a recent church plant in Fujisawa, Japan (an hour Southwest of Tokyo), with a current congregation of about 15 people. Initially, much of their time and attention will be focused on improving their Japanese language ability and cultural understanding while participating in the ongoing ministries of the church. As their language ability an...d cultural understanding improves, they will take on more responsibility in helping to lead church ministries such as Sunday morning gatherings, prayer meetings, men’s and women’s ministry, outreach, and life-on-life discipleship, etc. From day one, they will also be partnering with church leadership to put on English classes as a means of outreach to the community and be seeking to become a part of the community in Fujisawa, walking in step with Jesus, and trusting that He will provide opportunities to build relationships and share the Gospel. We ask that you join us in prayer for the Douglas’s as they prepare to take this next step to serve in Japan!

Thank you RHCC! Although church & ministry has looked different in 2020, we are truly thankful for your faithful generosity, commitment to the Word of God, ambition to raise disciples, and desire to evangelize to the lost. Together we have transitioned from our regular weekend services, to moving everything online and then into outdoors services. We’ve held drive-thru prayer events, kids events, and outreach opportunities. We have packed goodie bags & handmade masks for our ...military, put together toiletry essentials for our homeless, and collected an abundance of food for those struggling through the hardships of COVID. We’ve hosted blood drives & held so many of our ministry events in new ways. Our Children’s Ministry has gone through a major remodel, hosted a virtual VBS and has been providing weekly children’s lessons online as well as provide monthly packets for our kids! Student Ministries found new, creative ways for our youth to remain engaged and connected with each other, even moving their summer camps into an on-campus experience. Our 80+ missionaries, have continued to minister throughout the world in innovative ways and our life groups have continued to stay connected online. Thank YOU for making this all possible!
