To our incredible patrons & friends, There seems to be a little confusion regarding an email that was sent out today. We wanted to clear things up and let you know that we still do not have any official information regarding a re-opening date. We know that restaurants are able to open indoors at 25% capacity, or less, beginning this month sometime. This is exciting for Roger Rocka’s as it means they could open as they are a restaurant, but there are no official developments ...for Good Company Players as a theatre company. We know that a 2-piece band is allowed to perform during dinner outdoors. GCP has been working, and continues to work, every step of the way to find ways to be able to get back to doing what they do bestentertaining you! That said, the current options for us include opening outdoors with dinner service and some form of live entertainment (in a covered area, of course) or opening indoors with pre-recorded/virtual entertainment played back on the onstage screen. Please note that we continue to have your safety and the safety of our staff at the forefront of our plans, we will never go against state/local regulations regarding reopening, and the timing of this is all up in the air. That said, we wanted to get your thoughts with this little survey:

ROGER ROCKA’S OWN HERO!!! Roger Rocka’s employee Albert Yurgal was one of about 150 people rescued from the Creek Fire by Military helicopter Tuesday morning. A...lbert, and fellow hikers Riley Budd and Wade Sponsler got word via satellite communication that their window of availability to get home was quickly closing and they needed to move fast. They raced 15 miles down the mountain carrying 35lbs backpacks Sunday to reach their vehicles only to find out that the roads had been closed and they were now trapped. They found refuge at the Vermillion Valley Ranch where other hikers began to congregate as they came off the mountain. Upon checking in they asked about availability of food. The owner told them that the last meals had been served and the kitchen staff had fled ahead of the road closure. Albert, Wade and Riley, having restaurant and camp kitchen experience volunteered. The next morning they prepared about 60 breakfast burritos, coffee and hot chocolate. For dinner they planned tri-tip, Wade’s famous risotto and fresh green beans with bacon for about 70, but by the time they were done they had served about 130 dinners as people continued to flow into the area. Other hikers volunteered to wash dishes and keep the meals flowing as there weren’t enough plates to serve everyone. They spent the remainder of the evening cleaning grills, mopping floors, and sanitizing surfaces in an effort to keep busy and ease anxieties. At about 3:30am they were awakened to hear that the choppers were on the way and rescue was coming. They were reunited with family at The National Guard station In Fresno at around 9:30 Tuesday morning. Albert Yurgal Scoutmaster, Troop 1854 -Works part time at Roger Rocka’s in the Bar and Kitchen. Wade Sponsler Eagle Scout- Ran the kitchen at Chawanakee Scout Camp at Shaver Lake. Riley Budd Eagle Scout - Worked in the Chawanakee kitchen. See more
