Life Line Screening in Palmdale next Thursday! For other locations, use their find-a-location on their site map. If plaque/calcification is observed, nutrition can likely help clear those arteries substantially! https://www.lifelinescreening.com/find-a-location

When is low-carb low enough to benefit? When blood ketones are at least 0.9 and under 3.5, fat is being converted to ketone bodies. About 5.0 is when people are fasting/starving, and yes, ketoacidosis is at 15-20+, so unless you're type 1 diabetic it doesn't come into play. Get your ketone body going today?! ;-)

The keto-mojo meter shows I'm doing well this morning! Bell curve shows "green zone" where ketones are available -- keto adaptation takes a couple of week or so, then glycogen in muscles are replaced by stored triglycerides for fuel. (Triglycerides in muscle - good, in large amounts in blood - not so good!). Volek/Phinney's book on Performance is a good resource!

All assessments are important, but this may be the best starting point to evaluate how someone is doing. If arteries are clear, then total cholesterol seems unimportant. If arteries need "work" there are nutritional approaches!

As Popeye used to say "Faskinating"!

Not trying to convince anyone of anything, and there's absolutely NO BLAME on anyone who chose/chooses what they thought/think is right for their children and themselves if things go awry...

I think Stephanie Seneff (pronounced SEN-eff) is one of the most brilliant scientists alive. MIT professor. This is a super evaluation of the efficacy versus the risk of vaccines. Informed consent means parents (and adults when confronted with vaccine mania) weigh possible benefits with possible dangers and then choose to either get the vaccine(s) or not. You pays your money and you get what you get, but you investigated the choice and made it for yourself of your children. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5v3QfOZraw

A little light reading, anyone? ;-)

IMO, the Life Line Screening is the best beginning of assessing how any of us are doing. Are our arteries wide open? A little clogged but still moving at good speed (the blood flow)? Or, are arteries pretty clogged and need attention right away? In many, if not most, cases, nutrition can be an exciting and effective component of a an improved blood flow program. ALSO, if arteries are clogged (even if only to a minor extent), then bone and dental health are quite likely also worsening. Again, the good news is that the approach to opening up arteries and supporting bone/teeth strength is the same and occurs simultaneously! Here is a local test this one week from today! Schedule it right away! To your health!

Here is a single-screen list of super books by awesome authors! In the lower right is Dirty Genes and Deep Nutrition -- both of which deal with how our genes are SO RESPONSIVE to our environment. I am using them to assess my 23andMe genomic download. More coming, but feel free to post a question or comment!

Here is a show Diana and I did right after our YouTube series of 130 shows wrapped up. With ketosis being used even more effectively these days, the food science continues to be confirmed -- it's not the saturated fats and cholesterol that lead to chronic diseases, but rather the starches and sugars (and vegetable oils!) that lead us away from wellness. Hope you enjoy the show, maybe watch one or two others sometime. Do well! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6UFPE3noQw

Our 12-week program combining a ketogenic diet with weight-training for best results started 1-1-19. There is still time/opportunity for you to join us. Our Roe v Weight page has our good/bad food menu and links to optional accessories. BUT, back to the panel/graphic, even the President might benefit from our program! When President Trump's medical and blood work were announced, I scribbled madly to jot them down. Admiral and doctor Rodney Jackson provided the specifics, ...and they were DAMN GOOD! His triglycerides (129) divided by his HDL (67) is just under 2, which is considered excellent by the nutrition researchers (including doctors) that I follow. His hemoglobin A1c was 5.0 -- no evidence of blood sugar issues (glucose posted in-range at 89). His PSA at 0.12 also indicates no problem. His calcium scans showed 34 in 2009, 98 in 2013, and 133 now. This is the Agatston scale (of South Beach Diet author) and would seem to be a unsurprising rate of increase. Lowering this calcium/plaque can likely be improved with vitamin K2 with nattokinase, but even his current levels do not seem to be progressing in an alarming way. For you, maybe consider Life Line Screening to confirm your arteries are open with normal blood flow. If not, take action! The doctor, and the medical community at large, view his 223 total cholesterol as something to try to lower. This is unfortunate, as higher cholesterol for men over 60 is protective (see Framingham study)! And the statins they are "giving" him are not necessary and likely damaging. His Crestor (cholesterol lowering), aspirin (blood thinning -- there are better choices), and Propecia (for hair retention) could be reviewed for suitability. Mention was also made of Prevnar 13, the flu and travel vaccinations. As for weight -- 239 pounds for a 6 foot 3 inches is not too bad. I could do the BMI calculations, but better is waist to height ratio. He is 75 inches high, so his waist circumference should not exceed 37.5 inches. His waist circumference was not provided, but would appear to be about that amount... So, advice from a (presumptuous) nutrition researcher would be: Dump the statins and aspirin and opt for vitamin K2 (menaquinone-7) from natto with nattokinase to keep the blood thin like a fine wine! Weight loss can be achieved by diet -- keep carbs low, shun vegetable oils, keep protein moderate and good fats (saturated mostly) coming in! That's about it for my comments on POTUS' health markers. I envy most of his report, and realize my enjoyment of a couple of glasses of wine per night allows his numbers to be a bit better than mine. We can discuss any of these concepts if you wish, and yes, POTUS can join us in our wellness program!!
