Senior Spotlight on Nately Wareckiy-Cabreros! Nately graduated from Whitney High School and will be studying Psychology at Sierra College. She plans on transferring to Sac State. Nately started swimming with Wave when she was 7 years old and has been a coach and lifeguard for RST since 2019. She is the recipient of the Rocklin Swim Team Slasher award in 2019 and Assit-a-Grad Scholarship in 2021. Congratulations Nately!

Senior Spotlight on Ian Turner! Ian Started swimming with the Wave at 5 years old. He is a lifeguard and coach for Rocklin Swim Team since 2019. Ian graduated from Jesuit High School Summa Cum Laude and will be majoring in Applied Math at UCLA. Go Bruins!

Schedule update for our swimmers 11/23 - 11/27 MONDAY, 11/23 ==> WEDNESDAY, 11/25 "Senior Group": 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm All other groups: Normal schedule between 3:00 pm & 7:00 pm (no changes) ... THURSDAY, 11/26 Day off for everyone - No Swim or Dryland FRIDAY 11/27 "Senior Group": 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm All other groups will begin and end 2 hours earlier than a normal day. First group begins at 1:00 pm instead of 3:00 pm, and last group begins at 4:15 pm instead of 6:15 pm.

We have been getting a lot of questions about swimming tomorrow. YES, we will have all swim groups tomorrow on our normal schedule. Everything stays the same.

Sep 30 Air quality today has remained above the 150 AQI mark, and does not seem to be decreasing. We will be cancelling today's swim to protect the swimmer's health.

The registration deadline is Nov 11th for our time trial next weekend. We are asking Fall swimmers to login to website and declare whether or not you're going to the meet. The process is simple on our website to allow you to attend/decline your swimmer(s) for the meet. If you have more than one swimmer, you will see them listed. #RSTproud

Sorry for the late notice, but we wanted to monitor AQI for as long as possible before making the final call. We are going to start fall clinics today, but as always, please do what you feel is best for your swimmer. Make sure you have the most up to date group placement from this weekend's communication (attached). If you have volunteered to staff the gate today, please make sure to show up for your shift. Lastly, maintain social distancing at all times on the pool deck!

Meet Coach Maddy Terry! Maddy has a long history on our team as she and her brother Evan and sister Ryan all swam competitively for Rocklin Wave and Rocklin High. She joined our coaching staff in 2011 for 4 years but took a break to attend college and nursing school at ASU but we are happy to have her back in 2020. Her favorite swim stroke is breaststroke. When she is not studying for her nursing board exams or on the pool deck, she enjoys spending time with her dogs Chancy and Baylee. We are all excited to have her return to our RST family! #RSTproud

We welcome Coach Sam Wilson to our Rocklin Swim Team coaching staff. Sam was a swimmer and also coached at Rio Del Oro in Sacramento. He is a 6th grade teacher’s aide at St. Francis Elementary and his favorite swim stroke is breaststroke. When not teaching or on the pool deck, he enjoys cycling, origami, reading and playing chess. We are all excited to have him join our RST family! #RSTproud

Due to the continued air quality issues, the start to our swim clinic has been postponed until Monday, August 24th. We are going to give it a few days to hopefully see a meaningful change in the air quality.
