When Adar comes, joy increases. -The Talmud Tomorrow is the first day of the Hebrew month of Adar, the month in which we celebrate Purim. Adar is known as the month of joy. It is a time when we work on increasing our joy by focusing on the positivity around us. Now, almost a full year since the world has seemingly been turned on its head, it is even more beneficial for us to search for the good we experience and focus all our efforts on elevating our mood. With G-D’s help, ...may all our joy being the ultimate joy upon the whole earth, the coming of Moshiach. Yes, fun AND yummy! Sunday, November 8 at Chabad

Our Ckids are thrilled to be back together and learning outdoors in a socially distanced setting for safety. Using a diverse set of mediums, including drama, STEM, and stop-motion animation, we are learning about the Jewish Home. Lessons come alive as students learn empathy, respect and integrity amongst other life skills while exploring each room of their house.

#TodayinJewishHistory Passing of Rebbe Maharash (1882) Tishrei 13 is the yahrtzeit of the fourth Rebbe of Chabad-Lubavitch, Rabbi Shmuel Schneersohn, known as "Maharash" (a Hebrew acronym for "our master Rabbi Shmuel").... Rabbi Shmuel was born in the town of Lubavitch on the 2nd of Iyar of the year 5594 from creation (1834). His father was the third Chabad Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Lubavitch (1789-1866). Though the youngest of Rabbi Menachem Mendel's seven sons, Rabbi Shmuel was chosen to succeed his father as the leader of Chabad Chassidism in the movement's capitol, Lubavitch, at the latter's passing in 1866 (four of his brothers established branches of Chabad in other towns in White Russia and Ukraine).

Now that we have entered a new Jewish year, and we are celebrating the first Shabbat of the new year, and the last one before Yom Kippur, let us focus on rising upward. If our last year wasn’t great, this one can only ...be better. Let’s aim for higher, reach for better and put our efforts into making this year our best one yet. And in return, let’s pray G-d does his part and makes it better than we could have imagined. Today in Jewish History: Assassination of Gedaliah (423 BCE) Tishrei 3rd is a fast day mourning the assassination of the Jewish royal Gedaliah ben Achikam, governor of the Land of Israel for a short period following the destruction of the First Temple. Gedaliah's killing spelled the end of the small remnant of a Jewish community that remained in the Holy Land after the destruction. They soon fled to Egypt. (According to many opinions, the assassination of Gedaliah actually occurred on Rosh Hashanah, but the commemoration of the event is postponed to the day after the festival). Fast ends: 7:08 PM

It was so nice to see one another again, after a long time, even with keeping social distance protocols. We celebrated the birthday of the world with an Exploding birthday celebration, learned about the importance of the New Year, made sweet treat surprises and enjoyed an International shofar tour with a personalized passport
