June 2, 2017: Great CE Course today with two of Rancho's GPR Alums presenting. Col Joe Villalobos, USAF and Dr Ron Koslowski. I'm very proud of both of them.

June 1, 2018: Thank you, Dr Paul Glassman for presenting the 3rd Annual Terrie DeBord Special Care Symposium. In addition to Dr Glassman’s comprehensive presentation on dental care for people with developmental disabilities, Rancho GPR’s presented their research on the use of diazepam anxiolysis for dental treatment in people with developmental disabilities. Dr Wilks presented a session on ABA in the dental setting. And Rancho PT staff provided training on wheelchair transfers with videos taken in the procedure room of the new dental clinic.

I was honored to be at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Rancho’s new outpatient building! Roberta Orcutt and Dental Director, Konita Wilks, arranged a private tour of the new Dental clinic. It is so beautiful, BIG, and fully accessible. There are 5 open-bay operatories, a sensory adaptable room, a closed operatory, and a full procedure room with state of the are monitoring equipment, Features include a ceiling-mounted lift system in each room for easy transfers, x-ray units in every room, and monitors on the service delivery units to provide TV, movies and education to patients, rheostat lighting. The new ORs will are right down the hall from the Dental Clinic in the JPI expansion. Best of all, there is an accessible patient bathroom in the dental clinic, right next to the waiting area!
